Greater Brisbane 3-day Lockdown
Update 29 MArch 2021
Dear Parents,
Many of you would be already aware of the most recent Greater Brisbane 3-day lockdown announced by the Queensland Premier this morning (29/03/2021).
I would like to assure you that we are an essential health service and continue to operate.
At this time, we have received limited information from QLD Health regarding the intricacies surrounding the current lockdown. As a result, we will keep you up-to-date with any new information that may affect how your child's therapy is delivered. We thank you in advance for your patience and continued support during this time.
To ensure the safety of all our staff and families, the following alterations will take place.
1. No offsite services will be offered during this time.
This affects families who had an offsite visit scheduled between 8:30am on Tues 30/03/2021 and 5pm on Thurs 01/04/2021.
For those with appointments scheduled between these dates, we will be in contact with you via text message to alter your service delivery (as a once off occurrence due to current circumstances) to be either
at our clinic, via zoom or as a home program.
2. We ask that you limit the number of family members waiting in our reception area.
To limit the amount of traffic in our reception area, we kindly ask that you wait in your car until you receive a text message "Ready". At this time, please make your way up to the clinic.
Where possible, we ask that only 1 adult accompany each child to their scheduled appointment. If this is not possible, please contact our reception team and we can organise for your child's therapist to meet you in the downstairs foyer.
3. As per Government Directive, you will be required to wear a face mask when attending our clinic.
We request that you wear a mask at all times. This includes in the reception area and the therapist's consulting room.
NOTE: Children under 12 years and people affected by a medical condition or disability are exempt.
4. Please continue to wash your hands in the communal toilets before entering the reception area.
We ask that you remain patient as our therapists clean their rooms and disinfect resources between appointments.
We thank all of you, our clients, for your understanding, patience and cooperation during the current lockdown and throughout the entire COVID-19 pandemic. We remain committed to ensuring the highest level of safety to our staff and families, whilst continuing to provide the same high level of service.
Warm Regards,
Gabby Smith
